Here are the tools I use for feeding:

• Notebook & pen for recording date & zone number  fed
• Flat stick for scraping out scraps container
• Brush for cleaning cultivator & stick
• Claw Cultivator (rounded tine ends)

Below is a closeup of a Cultivator with rounded ends.  This type of tool will probably be less damaging to the worms, as compared to pointed-end tines.
